This is the table of contents for the book General Chemistry (v. 1.0).

This book is licensed under a Creative Commons by-nc-sa 3.0 license. See the license for more details, but that basically means you can share this book as long as you credit the author (but see below), don't make money from it, and do make it available to everyone else under the same terms.

This book is assembled largely from two fine general chemistry textbooks, one very rigorous and one elementary. Both the rigorous and elementary texts were retrieved from the Lardbucket. The creator of the Lardbucket, Andy Schmitz, indicates no attributions to the original authors are made due to publisher concerns. This production has been supplemented with images bearing Creative Commons licenses, excerpts from Wikipedia, and problems from a General Chemistry textbook written by Fred Redmore, John Sullivan and Leanne Grahame. The intent of this production is to create a textbook for use in the one-semester general chemistry course for non-majors at Highland Community College in Freeport, IL. Comments and corrections are welcomed by the chemistry instructors at Highland Community College.
